The Basics of Handgun Carry Course (BHCC) is a great class to take if you are thinking of, or have recently started carrying a handgun for personal protection. You should have taken a Basics of Pistol and Gun Safety class prior to this class. If you have not taken formal basic classes prior, you will need approval from the instructor to attend this class. You do not need a license to carry to attend this class and it is highly recommended you attend this class prior to getting a license.
This is a live fire class with little to no classroom presentations. All instruction will be done on the range. This class is intended to be fast paced but is paced to student efficiencies. Some students need more instruction and some less. If there is one person that requires extensive instruction compared to others we will take that person out of the line and bring them up to speed separately. This typically only occurs for safety concerns.
At the end of this class you should understand how to unholster, holster, draw, fire, reload, move, scan, shot placement, cover, and conceal. We recommend you take this training and spend time perfecting what you learned. Once you are comfortable with the basics, we recommend further training with our Advanced Handgun Carry Course (AHCC).
