Course Outline
The Basics of Handgun Defensive Mindset Course (BHDM) is a great class to take if you want to work on your fundamentals and learn recent techniques in defensive shooting. This course is not for the very beginner even though it is a basics course. Because this is a condensed course, some familiarity with handguns is necessary. You should have taken a Basics of Pistol (classroom) and Gun Safety (classroom) courses prior to this class. If you have not taken formal basic classes prior, you will need approval from the instructor to attend this class. You don’t need extensive formal training prior but we need to ensure this is not your first time shooting a handgun and you understand the basics of safety.
This is a live fire class with a few hours of classroom presentations. This class is intended to be fast paced but is paced to student efficiencies. Some students need more instruction and some less. If there is one person that requires extensive instruction compared to others we will take that person out of the line and bring them up to speed separately. This typically only occurs for safety concerns and or people that overstate their abilities prior to the course.
This class is about 2 hours of classroom instruction. There will be a 5-10 minute break about every hour. After the classroom portion there are live fire range exercises. The live fire exercises will last between 8-10 hours on the range.
Topics Taught In This Course
At the end of this class you should feel comfortable with the following topics, techniques and procedures (TTP)’s:

- Realize there is never enough training and shooting is a perishable skill
What to bring to Course

- Snacks and drinks
- Notepad and pen/pencil or a tablet
- Please no laptops as typing may be annoying to other students
- A semi-auto handgun to shoot for the live fire range portion
- 300 rounds minimum
- Eye and hearing protection if you plan to shoot

Registering Multiple Students
There are two ways to register multiple students.
You can create a new Enhanced Tactical account and select 1 for the ticket and fill out the corresponding student to your new Enhanced Tactical account, you would make the names match in your new account and on the ticket. This way each student has access to their tickets and account. This is good for adults that want to manage their own details.
If you want a simpler option and you plan to have one person "responsible" for all the students, you can select multiple tickets and fill out the corresponding information for each student. Then when checking out you only create one Enhanced Tactical account. The one account will have all the information for each student you registered. This is a good option if you have under aged students that require a parent or guardian, or for a team or company event where one person is paying and managing the event.
